schrodingers_time_ladyFirst of all, it's... probably best I introduce myself, so that people remember who I am. I'm the-redjay/luckweaver from Livejournal. Since I'm 90% sure that my account was purged for inactivity, and even more certain that it's a disorganized mess, I decided to get back into blogging on a new platform.

So to begin with - if you manage to find me again or vice-versa, what did I miss? What's been up in the life of you? How are you handling the closet fire that is 2020? Created anything new in the world of fandom or otherwise?
I have been blogging. Long story short, I lost my job because of Covid so I started a website where I blog about divination, polytheism and magic, and sell little workbooks and exercise pdfs on the same subjects. It's slow-going, but I'll share the link if anyone is interested.
Second, I don't know if any of you ever knew my real name, but... I'm in the progress of legally changing it, and my gender marker! I'm still semi "in the closet" - ie. my family will probably never know - but I use they/them pronouns exclusively, now. I also go by the name 'Lee', which is technically short for 'Lífþrasir' (leef-ruh-seer). But Lee is good. I chose the name from Norse mythology, Lífþrasir being one of the people who survives Ragnarok. I've been through a lot the past few years, and I reckon I've survived.
I'm an auntie now! A nearly three year old I'm going to refer to as Roo who is likely autistic due to trauma from her birth parents and a nearly two year old with microcephaly here called Turtle. They're being raised by my husband's parents full-time, which is... great, really. I don't want to get into the gloomy details, but they're in a much better place now, and I love them to pieces.
Animal parenting wise, since I last blogged we began rescued three rats and a bunny on top of our four ferrets. The bunny - Aster - is still with us, but two of the rats have passed from old age, so now we just have the equally old Chewie. Ferret-wise, my pride and joy, my first born son Floki passed away just over a month ago. It's left an open wound in my life, but he's in a better place now; he was old, and cancer struck hard and fast. We have three ferrets about the same age now, two of whom are also rescues - Locke, Robin and Sera. I'll also be dog-sitting for ten days later in the month.
Right now, my two main projects (outside of the blog) are renovating my house inside and out (we're tearing the deck down on Saturday something something mutters lousy neighbours meddling) and re-writing the stories about my Doctor Who OC, Rodageitmososa, who interacts heavily with @elisi's AU world! I've improved a lot as a writer, and I figured Roda deserved that care and attention, and it allows me to fix some inconsistencies. Hopefully I'll post the first chapter of her semi-reboot later on today.
So... yeah! That's pretty much where I am, right now. This is the one and only not-friends-only private post, just so that people can find me again. From here on out, I'll be a little locked down for personal things, but my fandom stuff and general mumblings will be public. Welcome aboard, and I hope we'll all be talking again soon!
Part two of this post is: if you've stumbled upon my blog, and you would like to friend me, I am very much open to friending new people and getting to know them! I'd just like a little nudge here as to who you are before you send the request :) Even if we've never talked, just a "I found this and thought we'd get along" is enough, and if you're someone from my LJ days that I've not yet tracked down please say hi!!
