A/N: This, and up to chapter 8 inclusive, is unbeta'd. Partially because I got overexcited, and partially because I wanted some things (namely one of the chapters in particular) to be a surprise to my delightful beta. A/N: This is the beginning of a mass rewrite of an existing story. Small edits may occur. It's hard to explain, but I've improved as a writer and this was a labour of love back in the day, so I decided to give it some TLC. This particular story in the series is set during the Rassilon's Era of Gallifrey, and I've only listened to some of Big Finish's audios and read almost none of the novels, so expect a lot of fanon and headcanon.
